Many thanks to Chris P., who prodded me to return to the effort. So if some of you are annoyed that I'm prodding you, you have only Chris to blame.
The other blogs on the site are for philosophy; this particular blog is for discussing the site, not only from a technical perspective but also in search of what may make it work. The worst that could happen would be for people to try their hand at it, be disappointed, and not come back. So implementation has been slow (real slow for a year) and deliberate.
There is a lot of mechanical stuff going on under the hood. Consistency in look and feel is also an issue.
